Reference / performance Check | A questionnaire completed by the referee to provide clients the ability to make a reasoned assessment of a candidate’s overall suitability for a role. |
Employment Check | Verifies a candidate’s employment history in any country and during any period of time (typically three, five, six or ten years). |
National ID Check | A validation of a Government-issued identification document or number, that helps confirm a candidate’s name, date of birth, and/or current address. |
Criminal Record | A search of national or local jurisdictions for criminal record history via a national database held by police or justice services, or may involve court record checks. |
Adverse Financial History Check | A search of a credit reporting agency, or public database, to determine a candidate’s credit status and/or credit history. |
Academic Achievement | Verifies a candidate’s school, college and/or university attendance, qualifications and grades attained. |
Global Sanctions | Reveals if a candidate is listed as a restricted, prohibited, high-risk or black-listed individual on a wide range of world-wide databases. Includes PEP Check. |
Adverse Media Check | A search of public and subscription media sources, including newspapers, magazines, periodicals, and web sources for ‘negative’ mentions of the candidate. |
Civil Check | A search for civil suit type records relating to financial issues, such as outcomes of a bankruptcy court, or a dispute regarding payments that has escalated to a court. |
Bankruptcy Check | A search of various sources to determine an individual’s bankruptcy history. Often used as an alternative to credit check in markets where credit checks are not feasible. |
Financial Regulatory | This search type would reveal if an individual has any disciplinary Check action charged by the Financial Regulatory Body |
CV Gap Check | Identifies a potential gap of employment of a pre-agreed period with the client that the candidate is then asked to provide an explanation for with supporting evidence where applicable. |
Address Check | An investigation to verify a candidate’s current address, using either a site-visit or database verification method or comparison of records such as utility bills etc. |
Professional Qualification Check | Verifies additional qualifications, licences and memberships provided by a candidate. |
Right to Work Check | Verification of the legal ability of a candidate to hold employment in a specific country. |
Directorship/Conflict of Intetest Check | A search of company registration records to determine if a candidate has or had financial or board of director-level responsibilities for a company. The client company determines whether there is a conflict or not. |
Social Media Check | Based on the 7 key Index measures of online behaviour, our social media background check utilises powerful screening and online behaviour evaluation tools designed to fairly and objectively assess a candidate’s social media profile over a 5 year period. |
